Neco a.k.a Rookee a.k.a yakuphan a.k.a Ghostwriters a.k.a Mr. T. a.k.a. GAMMAHERTZ
... was born 1975 in West-Berlin. In 1984 he started to make music while learning to play the piano and guitar. By 1987 he was programming his first "beats" in his parents house with an Atari ST, Notator, EMU Sampler and a Roland U20 Midi Synthesizer.
In 1991 he began producing playbacks for underground rappers in Berlin, and upon moving to Hamburg in 1996 his professional career in Music Production got off the ground. Working together with Bülent Aris and Jan van der Toorn (Booya Music), he crafted his skills of recording, production, songwriting and he began working with artists including: N'Sync, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Nana, Pappa Bear...
In 1998 he received his first Gold Record for “I remember the time”.
By 1999 he started to produce independently in his own music production company (Ghostwriters) in Berlin.
He is and has been working with: Simon & Butch, Raptile, Alex Silva, Afrika Bambaataa, Eko Fresh, Valezka, J-Luv, Evren, Stacie Orrico, Paul Cless, Drei glorreiche Halunken, Das gezeichnete Ich, Clara Chill, Voltaire...
